First let’s go over the types of anxiety and which one you may have so we can pin point the anxiety.

If you have Social Phobia,you keep getting tricked into into believing that you’re about to look so unreasonably nervous in front of people that you will be completely humiliated and be cast aside by your community.

If you have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, you keep getting tricked into believing that you’re about to be driven mad by constant worrying.

If you have Panic Disorder or Agoraphobia, you keep getting tricked into believing that you’re about to die, go crazy, or lose control of yourself.

In this article on how to overcome anxiety I am going to assume you are someone who is like I used to be.

I would be in public and everything made me nervous!

 

So why are you getting anxiety?

When we are faced with a moment that makes us anxious our body treats it as if it is fear.

So in order to protect ourselves by nature, our bodies go into Fight, Flight or Freeze mode.  Most of the time it is freeze mode.

Figure out why you are anxious

Do you understand what is causing your anxiety?

If you can pin point it you can look at it and assess WHY you are having the anxiety.

Is it girls around you? Fear of talking to people? Fear of being AROUND people?

Let’s go over some things to help ease your mind and help you overcome anxiety.

 

You’re Not The Only One

I absolutely love this because it’s true and eases your anxiety immediately.

You know this crazy anxiety you are trying to overcome right now?

Unless people are trained in human behavior or they have incredible social skills from living a PERFECT LIFE than they have some form of anxiety.

It is extremely rare for someone to be insanely confidence and have no anxiety.

Realize when you are feeling anxious that everyone else in the room is just as nervous as you are most of the time… which brings me to my next point.

 

No One REALLY Cares About You

Again… that anxiety feeling you are trying to overcome…. Remember when I just said everyone else has it too?

Well they are in their heads worrying just like you are worrying.

They are worrying about overcoming their anxiety. Wondering who to talk to, where to go next, who what when where they are discombobulated and because of that they honestly aren’t even giving you a second look.

They don’t care about the fact you are even in the building with them.

They are not looking at you or judging you like you think they are!

You could pick a booger and eat it in public around 100 people… maybe 2 people would see you and within 2 minutes they wouldn’t even care they saw you do it anymore.

Unless you are famous, no one is thinking about you.

When you truly come to terms with this, you will know how to overcome anxiety instantly.

Don’t over think

The reason that panic and anxiety go away when you drink alcohol is because it is blocking the receptors that make you ‘THINK and WORRY’.

Have you ever noticed when you try too hard at something you get even more nervous and anxious?

You need to approach everything effortlessly.

Don’t think about doing it, just do it! Similar being in bed as a guy.

If you think about it, you worry and then you come too early. But when you don’t think about it, it goes forever!

 

Don’t jump to conclusions

Jumping to conclusions is over thinking. When you are assuming someone is thinking something or that people are thinking things about you it makes you more anxious and makes it harder to overcome your anxiety.

Don’t think about what other people are thinking about you.

If you are going to over think at least stay inside your own head.

 

Consider the worst, really it isn’t that bad

It’s a scary thought if you aren’t confident enough to just go do it.

But the truth is, what is the worst that is going to happen?

They say No? You have heard this before and that is because it is true.

The fear you have in your head that is causing your anxiety is blowing what might happen out of proportion.

 

Focus on the good and the bad

Whatever the situation is, imagine the good side of it. What is the good that can come out of whatever you’re anxious about.

There is always a silver lining to everything. Even the worst things. You just have to be open minded enough to be able to see it.

 

Breathe

The problem with having an anxiety attack is that you start breathing faster and that reduces the amount of oxygen your brain gets.

So in turn, that makes it harder for you to think more clearly.

This is why controlling your breath with deep breaths is super important in any situation where you want to be calm.

Changing your breathing will actually completely change your brains wiring to instantly be more calm. Try it!

Meditate, Pray Or do affirmations to take your mind off of it

Breathing… meditating… being grateful for your current blessings, day dreaming about the future… do anything to take your mind off of it.

You can’t over think it if you aren’t thinking about it!

This may sound stupid but… telling yourself you’re awesome and confident loud enough in your head will cover all of the fear and anxiety you have.

Then build that confidence and just go for whatever you want to go for!

In order to see results in overcoming anxiety that are going to stick with you forever you need to be productive fighting it.

Go Out And Face Your Fears To Beat Anxiety

I used to be extremely anti social, socially awkward and just feel like the weirdest person in the room.

If you put me around girls…. oh man, my anxiety levels would skyrocket!

I took progressive steps in order to better myself so that I would stop feeling so weak, frail and un-confident.

Here’s what I did

  1. I read a books on how to interact better with people
  2. I studied body language for myself so I could appear more confident to others and BE more confident
  3. I studied body language so I could tell how others felt in the moment.
  4. I started going out to bars and clubs 100% alone which forced me to make friends and talk to people or feel stupid in the corner.

Taking action and fighting your problem is how you are going to learn how to overcome anxiety the fastest.

I’ve been where you are right now… I used to get bullied in school, beat up and called fat everyday. I became bulimic and depressed…. But I came back stronger than ever, learned to fight and started growing myself more and more.

It takes time but it comes together if you actively work at it!

The next step will help you overcome anxiety incredibly fast because it will help you realize that there is no reason to fear anything.

 

Do Things That Make You Uncomfortable At Least Once A Day

I used to be scared to want to even attempt this.

Nowadays I put myself into uncomfortable situations just to feel the RUSH of it.

I started by doing the most randomly small things that made me uncomfortable and then I moved up from there into more and more uncomfortable things.

But as I progressed I became less and less fearful to move up the ladder.

All because I realized each and every time that there was no reason to fear anything or even feel uncomfortable or anxious.

Let me make a little list of things you can start doing day by day to learn how to overcome anxiety.

 

Day 1: Don’t wear any socks. Just wear shoes. I personally hate not wearing socks, so It makes me uncomfortable not to. But this is 1 small step in doing something uncomfortable that you don’t like. Bear with me.

 

Day 2: Compliment someone one their shirt, shoes, hair or something about them. Just 1 person! You’ll love the feeling of making other people smile and it will help you overcome anxiety fast.

 

Day 3: Get on your Instagram or Facebook and DM 10 random girls complimenting them. Just say “You have a great profile I hope you succeed at accomplishing all of your dreams. Blessings.” or if you’re a girl do the same but for guys.

All you are doing is copying and pasting a message into thin air. There is nothing to fear here.

If you’re a guy you’ll notice responses of maybe 1 or 2 out of the 10 as long as you are very nice.

You’ll notice everyone else is very nice as well.

I have you start with that because I want you to see that people are nice.

 

Day 4: Now I want you to go to star bucks and strike up a conversation with the Barista.

Barista: Hey what can I get for you today.

You: I’ll take a ____. How is your day going? You guys staying busy?

Barista: “Yea, pretty busy day today. That’ll be $4.65”

You: “Okay cool!” *scans Starbucks app to pay* “Keep up the good work. I hope you have a fantastic day!”

Barista: “Wow, thank you! You too!”

It’s THAT EASY!

 

Day 5: Now go to Starbucks and say hi to 3 people randomly.

 

This stuff was a super easy way to start overcoming your anxiety.

From there… just keep growing out of your uncomfortable space.

Build all the way up to where you are talking to people each and every day no matter where you go.

I smile and wave and scream and shout and give people my personality with confidence anywhere I go… I sure as hell didn’t start like this haha.

 

We Are Creatures Of Habit

You need to be aware that there isn’t that much difference between medication and natural supplements that help you overcome anxiety. The more powerful a supplement is, the more likely it is going to have side effects/risks. That is just how it is with anything that changes your bodies chemistry.
