Do you want to have to give up around 50% of everything you ever earn just to make it a little sooner? REalisitically, a label won’t even want you until you are worth money… if you’re making money, you can just invest it back into yourself.

When a label gives you money… it’s just a loan that you have to pay back. It’s like a terrible bank that gives you money and then uses that money to help promote you. I recommend staying independent until you get so big you have leverage so if you sign to a label it’s under YOUR TERMS and not theirs.
