How To Choose And Hire A Virtual Assistant
You’re probably asking, “What is a virtual assistant?”
Basically, it’s someone you hire over the internet to be your personal secretary and do all the little menial, tedious tasks you don’t want to do. It’s an assistant that is Virtual lol
For instance, knowing what I know now, and knowing that VAs (Virtual Assistants) exist. I would have paid one to collect all of those Hip Hop blog E-mails for me that I mentioned in Level 2. Because it was NOT worth 7 days of my life doing that. And they probably would have done it WAY faster and possibly even had a software to pick them automatically.
But you live and learn and I teach you what I learned on Our Levels 😀
Some of them are highly trained in certain fields. Depending on what you need, there is someone out there.
How Much Do They Costs?
They costs anywhere from $5-$10 an hour and a lot of them have college degrees. Isn’t that fucked up? It is because you are hiring people in India who need work.
Don’t get it twisted, the VERY VERY best Virtual Assistants can get to $20+ an hour. Please remember, you get what you pay for. That is generally true no matter what you are paying for in your life.
To make the most of your money, follow my tips below. Be as detailed as possible with them so there is NO confusion and wasted time logged. You’ll save a lot of money, trust me.
How do you choose A Virtual Assistant?Â
Your best bet is always going to be to use a reliable website such as ones I list below. Most sites have a review system and rating indicating how reliable the Virtual Assistant was for them. VA’s tend to work their butt off knowing that those reviews will affect their pockets in the long run.
Everyone will say they can do what you need them too, but not everyone is going to be qualified. Look at their credentials + rating. Just like you would of any other business before you worked with them.
Tips On Virtual Assistants:Â
1) Make sure they have a COMPLETE understanding of what you need in FULL DETAIL.
You don’t want them doing a task for 10 minutes then charging you for an hour because they had to stop and E-mail you to ask you a question because you didn’t thoroughly explain what you wanted.
So IN FULL DETAIL Tell them as you hire them.
2) Give them a time limit to complete each tasks.Â
Some tasks will only take an hour, don’t let them take 4 hours to milk the clock.
3) Check Their Ratings And Reviews
Most sites have a rating system so you can tell if they are good or not. I recommend you pay close attention to those ratings.
Once you find a reliable VA, you can use that VA for as long as they are working as one. Just like having hired a secretary.
Just so you know, these tips are not only from personal experience but from Tim Ferriss’ The 4 Hour Work Week. These were his recommendations in the book, the same recommendations I used and I am now recommending to you for hiring your Virtual Assistant.

There are many other sites to hire them from, but these are pretty reliable sites. As usual, do your Google research! 🙂
I don’t know if you will need or want one. I made this part of the guide to inform you that they exist. If you are ever short on time and get too busy from all the success my tips in this guide brought you, you can use them to make your life easier.
I wish you the best of luck! Stay positive and go get it!
