Gaining Momentum
The Key To Success
You must know this to make it big and STAY BIG
If you read the top 9 biggest mistakes I made in my career in Level 0 – Part 4 – Top 9 Mistakes I Ever Made That You Shouldn’t
Then you know I mentioned how one of the BIGGEST MISTAKES that I EVER regret, is not releasing music on a consistent basis. I lost my ‘Momentum’ and that hurt me more than anything! So pay close attention to this my friends.
Momentum isn’t just a word or something that happens. It is something you get yourself into that just keeps your universe forming all of these opportunities for you and magic just starts happening.
No, I’m not crazy. Maybe a little 😛
Because you are working, you are opening up more opportunities for yourself and as you take hold of those opportunities you gain more opportunities and then more things come into play.
You do this then this happens, then that, then that happens, then someone offers you this, you go to this event with that person you met and you meet that next person and he tells you this and you learn that and then you go wow, I can do this and then you do that and then you meet that next person etc. etc. etc. MOMENTUM!
I can feel it happening all around me as I type this. My life is INCREDIBLE, shit is BOOMING and taking the fuck off! Excuse my language but I don’t know how else to express it and show how things are TRULY moving for me.
And it is because I am constantly attacking and chipping away at everything I can and it ALL ADDS UP. Every single day. I just work work work and I LOVE it! Because now I am seeing the results!
It takes time to build momentum. Don’t get discouraged, that is when you LOSE momentum. You have to work even when you are not seeing the momentum, okay? Trust me! Just keep working!
An incredible way to imagine momentum is to thing of pushing a car… It’s HARD AS HELL at first!!!!! That’s 3,500 lbs of weight on wheels! When that car gets rolling more and more after that initial hard core amount of energy you put in… What happens? IT GETS EASIER AND EASIER AND EVERYTHING IS SMOOTHER AND SMOOTHER! YES, it still takes energy to push, but that pushing isn’t as hard as it was from the get go! THAT IS MOMENTUM MY FRIEND! It is actually the literal definition of what momentum is!
Your music career is that car!
Momentum also builds up the habit inside you to work and get more and more and more done. The more you get done, the further you get. You gain momentum with your networks, with your song writing, with recording yourself, with shooting videos and more. Everything you do ALSO gets easier and easier because of how much you learn about it and the practice you are putting in.
These are all GOOD reasons to JUST KEEP WORKINNNNNNG! DO NOT STOP!
Eventually the momentum builds into Buzz which you need to succeed and be in the public eye.
I wrote this really fast, mostly because I am currently at a stage where my momentum is blasting me off. I want you to know how important it is to KEEP working. No matter what. Even when times are slow and shit gets tough.
I’ve been in LA for 7 months now. Nothing seemed to be working at all for the first 6 months, NOW all my hard work is paying off and it is all creating a magical fireworks show right before my very eyes. You need to keep working to level uP. Don’t let anyone take your eyes off of the prize.
MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES
If you don’t stay active and releasing material… People forget about you. Our minds are onto the next thing in 15 minutes. Hence why they call it 15 minutes of fame.
I blew up and was getting 20,000 views PER DAY for 6 MONTHS STRAIGHT!
I thought WOW! I HAVE FANS! I AM FAMOUS! NOW I HAVE THESE FANS FOREVER!
Thing is…. I didn’t keep releasing material to keep these people’s eyes and ears on me!
I took TWO ENTIRE YEARS TO RELEASE ANOTHER MIXTAPE/ALBUM After Hibernation’s Over 1
TWO FREAKING YEARS!!!! Looking back, That was my BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE! EASILY, HANDS DOWN THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE IN MY ENTIRE CAREER!
I would have released a mixtape every 3-6 months if I knew how this really works.
But you also have to take into consideration trying to release quality material on an ENTIRE tape in 6 months. I could have!
Now that I know what momentum is, I won’t let anything slip through my grasp and I never stop working.
You shouldn’t EITHER!
Go Get it!
