Collab with every other artist in your area. Chances are, their starting fan base is their friends, family and friends of their friends and family, right?
All of those people live in your local area. They see them all the time on their Facebook and everyone is connected.
So if you collab with 10 people around town, everyone in town will known your name FAST.
When you have 10 collabs with local artists and it’s being put onto 10 people’s Facebook pages who live in your area, you are going to be seen by around 300 people per Facebook page and that’s around 3,000 people in your local area who will now know your name.

Most towns have a newspaper, website for that newspaper, message boards and other stuff for your local area and of course a craigslist.
People in your town and surrounding areas are looking on those Craigslist pages every single day.
You can even pay like $20 and get a small section in the newspaper in your area.
Then after you have bought advertising from the paper, you can pitch the local paper to do an interesting write up on you if you have a cool story and want to represent your town. Also be sure to mention you have bought some ads in the paper before. This will help you get that write up on you.
Remember, they need something to write about or they don’t have anything to print in the paper. They need you, be nice and make it happen.
Go on the craigslist and post your new song and post in the talent section for collabs and offer services or anything music related. Hundreds of people see those craigslist ads everyday. Be sure to put your Artist name in the title so even if they don’t click it they see your name.

Go to local shows and events of artists who you sound like and start meeting people who are fans of those artists. You and the other people already have something in common anyways, now you can make those people a fan of you.

Offer to perform for ANY local event.
Whether you know it or not, there is a city or town counsel that is always trying to make events, charity events, fun nights and things for people in the city to do.
These people are generally 40 years and and older and keep your town or city operating so you never really think about these people.
But when your town has a festival or anything like that, these people set it up.
They have a calendar of events and people in charge, you can go talk to the people in charge and offer to perform in front of hundreds to thousands of people at one of these events.
This would work especially well when you’re just starting out and are younger. As long as you can perform a song that doesn’t cuss you’re good to go.
I remember one of my first shows was for a classroom of like 25 kids when I was 19.
